Guiding Policies

Collection of Personal Information


  • Personal Information is information about you that identifies you as an individual, for example, your name, address, e-mail address, or telephone number.
  • We may ask you to provide information such as your full name, phone number, and e-mail address if you want to participate in our trainings.
  • Personal information provided by you will be used only for the purpose for which they are collected.
  • `Personal information collected will be kept private and confidential and will not be shared with a third party.
  • Personal information you enter through forms found this site is sent to us via email and stored on our server hosted by a third party; and accessed on our personal computers.

Registration


  • Registration for courses is compulsory prior to attending a training.
  • Registration for a given course could be done by completing the registration form on this site or
By providing the required information by email (cpr@cprfirstaid.co) or by SMS/text messaging (403-689-5634)

Fee Payment Prior to Training


Payment must be paid/received in full prior to start of training/class registered for. Payment can be made by e-transfer (preferred) or in person at our office.

Late to Training/No Shows


There is a strict 15-20 minutes lateness policy

Training Attendance


  • 100% class attendance is required
  • Partial attendance amounts to no attendance at all and the fees will be forfeited in full.
  • If partial attendance is due to serious emergency which is dully reported to the instructor, the student will have to attend another training within 7 days; otherwise, payment will be forfeited in full.

Training Completion


Training is deemed complete if:
  • Training attendance is 100%
  • Successful demonstrate of skills
  • Obtain a passing mark in the knowledge test (exam).
  • Fee payment made in full.

Certification


  • On successful completion, an appropriate certificate will be ordered digitally to the email address provided by the participant.
  • Email address must be unique, that is, more than 1 participant cannot use the same email address.
  • The participant is responsible for accessing the certificate.
  • A hardcopy certificate can be requested at extra cost.
  • A hardcopy certificate (when requested) will be sent by mail at the mailing address provided by the participant.

Withdrawal/Cancellation/Refund


  • Withdrawals must be submitted during business hours by Phone (403-689-5634) or Email to (cpr@cprfirstaid.co).
  • If a withdrawal request is received after close of business (5:30 pm) , it will be considered received on the following business day
  • A full refund will be given if a withdrawal request is received at least 5 days before the start of class/training registered for.
  • If a withdrawal request is received less than 5 days before the start of the class/training, $50 + GST will be deducted as professing fee.
  • Group or corporate withdrawal/refund/cancellation fees will be handled on per student basis.
  • Refund will be issued by the same method the payment was made.
  • In the event that course materials (e.g., course eBook) were issued in advance, the fees for all materials will be deducted before refund is processed.
  • Course material fees are non-refundable once materials have been issued.

Failure to Attend


Failure to attend a class/training registered for results in forfeiture of all the fees.

Training Rescheduling Policy


  • Class/training can be rescheduled at no cost if such is requested at least 5 business days prior to the training registered for.
  • Rescheduling request received less than 5 business days before the training will be charged at $40 – $60.

Inherent Risks in Trainings


  • Participants should be aware of the inherent risks in all trainings be accepted as integral parts of the training activities.
  • If you have any limitations, please identify them during registration and training.

Behaviour Policy


  • We strive to provide our participants with a safe and conducive learning environment.
  • If our staff determine that a participant’s behaviour is disruptive or threatening, the staff may take any action deemed prudent, including:

Discussing the matter with the participant,


  • Asking the participant to leave, or
  • Calling the security personnel or police.
